First of all, let me start by saying that this book has the most amazing illustrations ever! They are so detailed and colorful, it was hard for me to put the book down. My friend Sarah couldn’t stop laughing at how silly some of the pictures were, especially when Lincoln was wearing a tutu. Yes, you heard that right, a tutu! Who knew our 16th president had such a sense of humor?
But besides the fantastic illustrations, this book has some great life lessons. My cousin Thomas was struggling with self-confidence and after reading about Lincoln’s journey to becoming president, he gained so much inspiration. He even started wearing a top hat everywhere he went!
And lastly, I have to mention how well-written this book is. My neighbor George usually hates reading but I convinced him to give this book a try and now he can’t stop talking about it.
